I picked this up as a gift for my father. He's an artist who has found his niche painting abandoned automobiles and I've given him a few books like this one for reference material. I'm also a photographer who enjoys photographing the same material. It's a good picture book with nice, full page images. My chief complaint is that it has a little too much "late model" stuff in it for my/our taste. My father paints cars from the 30/40/50s and there's a large amount of cars from the 80s and later in here. I wouldn't really call them classics by much stretch of the imagination and they seem a little out of place next to some of the other vehicles. This isn't to discredit the author/photographer but they don't really fit with what I had expected. Still, the images are nice with good detail, sharp focus, good editing and generally nice composition. It's not the best abandoned car picture book but it's fun to flip through.Product details

Very unique with excellent photography.
There are a few "sleeping beauties" in the book, but there are way more pictures of mundane, boring, run of the mill Junkers (an 80-something Ford sedan for example) not the classic cars I was expecting. I wouldn't recommend it.
I love old cars and could look at them for hours realy enjoyed this book and shared it with others in the car club.
Great book, nice pictures and stories.
I think the author did a good job of searching out old vehicles that provide some look at the past transportation. Younger folks need to see "how it was" before the high mpg era.
Excellent photos for those who love old cars. This book is a great read if you enjoy remembering the old cars and trucks as well as photos of the country side
Great photography of each "sleeping" vehicle, and brief history of its past days of glory. Purchased for young Grand Daughter who is determined to own her own antique truck once she is old enough to drive, (in about a year and a half!!!). She is saving hard!
